Work > Joomchi Explorations

These are explorations in a technique called Joomchi. It is a traditional Korean technique felting thin sheets of mulberry paper together. Jiyoung Chung has written the book Joomchi and Beyond, from which I have begun to explore her techniques. Various papers with inks, pigments and dyes have been explored with these pieces.
